Salary range:
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation depending on specialty
can range from $375,000-$500,000. The posted UC salary scales set
the base pay determined by rank and step at appointment. This
position includes membership in the health sciences compensation
plan, which provides for eligibility for additional
compensation.

Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care
Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series
The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care at the
University of California, Irvine anticipates openings for
physicians in general anesthesia and its various divisions. These
openings will be at the level of Assistant Professor or above,
depending upon the candidate's qualifications and will be in the
Health Sciences Clinical Series (non-tenure track). Fellowship
trained or equivalent experience preferred.
Criteria for the Professor in the HS Series:
Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series faculty engage in
scholarly or creative activities which derive from and support
their primary responsibilities in clinical teaching and
professional and service activities.
The divisions include Critical Care, Neonatal/Pediatrics, Neuro,
Obstetrics, Pain Medicine and Regional. The Health Sciences
Clinical Professor will provide care at UCI Medical Center in
Orange, CA and Irvine, CA and/or affiliated sites in Orange
County.
Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic career in
Anesthesiology and related specialties will be given the

qualifications. The Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series
faculty will have on average a 40-hour work week clinical
