Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient Surgery Coder responsible
for ensuring accurate code selection and compliance with coding
guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical records to assign principal and secondary diagnoses
and procedures accurately
Ensure correct code selection following Official Coding Guidelines
and compliance with regulations
Abstract medical and demographic information and correct any errors
found in the coding process
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience required
Experience with Professional Fee Coding
Experience with EHR systems Meditech and EPIC preferred
Accepted certifications from AHIMA or AAPC, including RHIT, RHIA,
CCA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC
