Job Description:
Job Description The selected candidate will work as part of a
team installing and assembling shipboard communication systems and
will have the following duties and responsibilities:- Assembling or
installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering,
or connecting- Assembling connectors and Radio Frequency
connections from drawings or data sheets- Performing test on new
and existing connections using multi meters and continuity testing
using drawings or procedures as referenceThe hourly rate for this
position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current
rate is $26.07.This position is located in San Diego, CA. There is
no relocation assistance available for this position.Applications
must be currently residing in or state their willingness to self
relocate to San Diego or surrounding areas.Required Education,
Experience, & Skills High school diploma and at least two years of
related experienceAbility to use hand and power toolsFamiliarity
with Microsoft OfficeWillingness to travel as required (up to 25%)
and work in a shipyard environmentWillingness to work at heights
above 6ftAbility to lift at least 50 lbsAbility and willingness to
wear all required PPE (ie: work boots, safety glasses, and hearing
protection)Ability and willingness to work as a teamPreferred
Education, Experience, & Skills Multi-pin connector building
experienceUS Navy familiarity background RF cable building
experiencePay InformationThis position is covered by a wage law
called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage
range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division
of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.Employee
