Software QA Engineer to help ensure our Health experience is
rock-solid and customer-focused. We're looking for critical
thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying critical
software and the frameworks that support it during all stages of
software development. We practice nimble, fast-paced development
that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering,
Project Management, and QA.DescriptionAs a Quality Assurance
Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to have a direct hand in
crafting the next advancements in Apple's health software
ecosystem. We work on the Health app-a platform for Health and
Fitness efforts across Apple-as well as related features and
experiences that broaden the definition of what our platform can
do. You will work with experienced engineers, designers, and
medical experts to qualify and refine features that delight users
as well as form a solid technical foundation for future
development. In this position, you will need to be self-directed,
creative, and comfortable with change and ambiguity. Strong
technical and interpersonal skills are all
essential.Responsibilities include:
- Functional testing of Health Software features on iOS and
watchOS platforms, sometimes across concurrent release
vectors.
- Execution of automated test scripts and analysis of their
results alongside focused, creative manual testing.
- Design and implementation of test plans and test cases.
- Risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and
integration testing across the system.
- Maintain a qualitative, high level understanding of area of
responsibility.
- Investigation and debugging on Unix based systems to triage
difficult problems and work towards resolutions.Minimum
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work
experience.
- Experience working in Software Quality Assurance on iOS or
similar.
- Proven experience creating test plans for new products and
features.Preferred Qualifications
- An enthusiasm for user-focused design and shipping high-quality
technology.
- Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous
attention to detail.
- Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results
with multi-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate close interaction
with development teams, management, and other organizations within
Apple.
- A passion for health and health-related technology is a plus.At
Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and
is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to
progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range
for this role is between $133,800 and $222,800, and your base pay
will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and
location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an
Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary

discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple
