Principal Scientist, Fermentation Process DevelopmentStatus: ArchivedCompany: Tanvex BiopharmaLocation: [Insert Location]Expiration: 2023-08-01How to Apply: SUMMARY:The Principal Scientist will act as a primary driver in biologics manufacturing process optimization, scale-up, tech transfer, process characterization/validation, and supporting BLA filling to advance a late-stage biologics to market. The candidate must have extensive hands-on working experience in fermentation engineering, including:

  • Media and feed strategy development
  • High cell density fermentation process optimization and scale-up
  • Fermenter engineering
  • Harvesting and recovery
  • Supporting MSAT to implement new equipment and process technologies in the manufacturing areaThe candidate must demonstrate ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in all experimentation. Strong writing skills for technical documentation and the ability to interface effectively with other departments are essential.Minimum Qualifications:Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related scientific disciplines. BS with 13 years' experience, MS with 10 years' experience, or PhD with 8 years' experience in fermentation engineering within a pharmaceutical process development group.The pay range Tanvex reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $123,250 and $147,500. Individual compensation varies depending on the candidate's education and experience.
