Job Description:
This is a full-time position located at our Scripps Memorial
campus in La Jolla. Must be available to work a varied shift (start
time will be dependent upon the department's need) and varied
schedule including weekends.

Our Diet Clerks provide administrative and clerical support for
Food and Nutrition Services. Responsibilities include processing
diet orders, assisting patients with menu selections, and
distinguishing between food and medication allergies, maintains
current diet orders and menus to ensure compliance to the physician
diet order. Checks tray line for patient tray accuracy. Able to
function effectively in a call center environment. Serves as a
liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition Services departments
handling patient complaints, food issues and basic questions about
meals/diets.
